This was flown on the 25th of April and then, when we were told that people had heard about it and hoped to see it, we flew it again on the 27th April as the wind was judged to be a bit low for the Double Malay.
Various kite fliers attending the event took a turn on the bar so we were able get some images during this flight...

This was flown with the new lightweight frame but on 6mm polyester line which was much heavier than needed. The kite was very buoyant and was flying alongside some contemporary light wind kites.

Rok'n'Rev 1992 - 2022, Original Roks by Jørgen Møller Hansen from 1992 (Red sail re-made) and new Rev sails in the 1992 design modified for the 'Not Zen' sails.
The project to revisit the 1992 Rok'n'Rev kites to 'celebrate' the 30th anniversary was initiated immediately after the 2019 Portsmouth event and the replacement Rok sail and the sets of Revolution sails arrived in London on 28th March 2022, just in time for Cervia!
The plan was to fly the stack of four Rokkaku kites as a target for the Revs but the wind conditions were not quite right for a tethered launch on 28th April.

at Cervia 2022 on 29th April.
It was marginal wind for the launch in the central arena after some very kind help from other kite fliers in 'untangling' the stack.
A quick exit from the arena then became a gentle walk into the breeze initially but then in gradual steps we moved back down wind close to the arena.
Various fliers took the bar and I finally walked it back to our base.

The forecast for the final day, 1st May, suggested that there might be some rain so we made a minimal set-up as wet kites would not be good for the journey home...
