Denver and Lubbock, Rok'n'Rev Tour 1992
Ground display.
From the History Page:-
'Taking part in the Festival in Denver at the Invitation of Scott Skinner and Human
Services Inc. was successful though hard work due to lack of wind.'
We travelled on to Lubbock (for the AKA convention) cross country via Black Canyon and other less well known places.
I think that this was the route:-
Denver
Leadville
Twin Lakes
Independence Pass
Aspen
Carbondale
Black Canyon
Gunnison
Alamosa
Santa Fe
Clovis
Muleshoe
Lubbock
From Jacob Twyford:-
When asked by the immigration officer my final destination, I said Lubbock Texas; he replied 'what in the hell do you want to go there for? Only place in the US you can stand waist deep in mud and still get sand in your eye!'
Denver
Scott Skinner was on the field. There was little or no wind so it was a relaxed event.
There may even have been some of Jørgen's Danish brew on the field!
Independence Pass and Black Canyon
It was a slightly meandering journey.
Independence Pass and then Black Canyon
These images are from a collection of slides that Jørgen made in Lubbock.
