Jørgen Møller Hansen Double Malay 1994 with his Revolution 1.5 design sails from 1997, thanks to Marian Linford for these images from Saturday morning.
The Double Malay was set up using ground stakes secured with a long rope to a solid anchor point. The Rev sails were set up ready and then the Double Malay was launched. It would not have been possible to hand hold the Double Malay and the Rev 1.5s were overstressed in the wind which was c14mph.
Martin Linford, Chris Goff, Vaughan Livingstone, Romney Johnstone and Ashley Mottram on the Revs, Felix Mottram on the Double Malay.
This was the second time that we have flown the Rev 1.5s alongside the Double Malay.
Revolution Sails, thanks to Franca Perletti for these images.
A strong and sometimes turbulent breeze on Saturday 29th July provided a good opportunity to put the Revolution 'RSS' sails through their paces in the team demonstrations. These sails are flown with three wrap Ultra Light Revolution spars in the leading edges!
Revolution Sails, thanks to Marian Linford for these images.
Some of these images are from the same session as above but from the opposite viewpoint.
Jørgen Møller Hansen, Four Squares (late), thanks to Marian Linford for these images.
There was too much wind for this kite with added bow lines and a slight modification to the bridle.
Shortening the centre two bridle lines put too much pressure on the centre of the kite and will have to be undone. The plan is to replace the white fibreglass tube with carbon tube.
