I had hoped to get an image of 'the race' but it was directly into the 'sun'.

I did not get to go looking for the Purbeck beds that are supposed to be in evidence on the Isle of Portland. There are some fossilised trees that have been 'found' but I do not know where they are located.

The earlier rain abated and while driving back up the west side of the island the cloud cap could be seen forming over the east side.
