I chanced upon this exhibition having made a last visit to the Andeas Gursky exhibition at White Cube, Mason's Yard and wandering into Cork Street to check the latest exhibition at Waddington Custot.

I caught a glimpse of this painting from the doorway and remembering a previous exhibition here where a contemporary artist was paired with a 20th Century Master I decided to 'check it out'!

All four of the Picasso paintings appear to be in immaculate condition.

Sadly, the Pistoletto works were a visual distraction.

I was curious to see if the provenance details could be found via ChatGTP and a comprehensive record of Partition, guitare, compotier 1924 was available including Sotheby's, London, 29 November 1988, lot 75.

There was less information, apart from basic details, for the other works and in the case of Buste de femme assise (Jacqueline) 1962 Zervos details were seen 4th December 2025.
