Towards the end of the exhibition there did appear to be a few works where place and personality had a slightly higher presence, beyond 'naming'.

I had worked on the installation of the exhibition at The Whitechapel Art Gallery that ran from 3rd July - 16th August 1981.

I was curious to see how the Artists single minded project had worked out in the intervening years and this exhibition provided some insight.

When Artist elect to put themselves on a pedestal and survey the world of mere mortals it is no wonder that they object to organised religion amongst other things.

It appears that they remain caged by the grid of their framing convention.

(Hanging the individual components is a tedious process.)

The use of saturated rainbow colours becomes tiresome rather quickly and end up not being remotely 'colourful', just a tired cliche.
