Thursday 18th June.
Memory is an elusive 'thing' and on this occasion it is the memory of a sculpture that I handled at Waddington Galleries in the mid 1980's.

I remember the composition but simply had no idea that there were variations. I might be able to establish exactly which one was at Waddington Galleries if I can get a record of the size!

Getting images of the sculptures was not very easy as most were behind thick perspex.
Low lighting levels add to the complications.

Barbara Hepworth Single Form 1937-1938 plaste and paint Tate: allocated 2023.
I was a bit perplexed by the placing of larger sculptures against vividly coloured plinths in two corners of the exhibition space.
I must, however, make a point of visiting The Hepworth Wakefield!
